When I change the oil in girlfriend's newish Kia, it comes out looking better than any oil in any of my old trucks. She uses full synthetic and has me change the oil and filter every 3000 miles. The car doesn't use any oil in between changes. I'm a tightwad, and it seems like a waste to just burn such good oil or dump it on the weeds. Any opinions about reusing it in older rigs that already burn a fair bit of oil or that were designed when motor oil was far inferior to what we have today? I'm thinking the "beater" M37 and the D4 cat (both the main engine and the pony motor) would be okay with it, and maybe even my oil-burning toyota pickup.
