Yes, it's annoying just how useless & aggravating a dull bit can be & how quick they go from new to useless!
Our machinist sharpened every bit before using it, every time. He used a bench grinder & boy was he good at it.
I've gotten better over the years but it's still about 50/50 :)
I'll sharpen one...perfect! Better than new! The next...duller than a bread knife :)
No experience with the "drill doctor"
Generally I steer clear of anything with a name like this or if it's available through Ktell, Harbour Freight, Princess Auto, The Eastwood Group or anyone that sells "good stuff cheap" :)
That said...I've been proven wrong before!
