This is good advice guys, thanks! I will try the alcohol, just for fun. A couple of years ago I bought some chinese made HSS spot weld cutters. They looked good, but didnt last for 5-6 spot welds; Then I bought a 3 pack of American made HSS M2 bits, which were expensive... but with just one of those bits I did at least a hundred spot welds... so, as you guys know, buy quality!
