took it to an auto glass shop this am before they opened for business. the guy had the glass setting tapes, but had not used them in years. owing to the fact that the glass is 75 years old and the tapes were not fresh, he recommended using windshield sealant. we discussed removal in the case of a glass break and he related the stuff is tough to remove, but he runs a drill bit inside the channel to remove the sealant and glass if there is a need. he did a quality, clean job, AND wouldnt accept any money. just said to consider his shop for glass work. quality shop that will get my commercial and residential business going forward!!
