I was reading an article on the crash testing of the new f150 and it said it was not eligible for the IIHS top safety + award bwcause the forward collision warning did not have automatic braking? I dont consider automatic braking a safety feature. I have been in one accident in 23 years of driving and i stopped too fast and was rear ended. I have always thought when mercedes started doing brake assist it was a bad idea. I always assumed crash tests were strictly the crash results. I will have to now take crash tests with a grain of salt. I know it gets dicussed often here about repowering trucks and the safety of driving them at highway speeds but i personally feel safer in my m37 than a new vehicle that can be hacked, has computer glitches and now intentionally overrules my commands!
