No, Bill didn't let me into the fuel pump museum yesterday, but I am ok with that. I am of the opinion that one should not expect to get "the complete tour" of another man's place on the very first visit. Ha Ha.
As for Bill reading from the good book, now is that the Dodge Book or "The Good Book"?
About 35 years ago in the spring on a Saturday I was laying some cement blocks for a basement entrance near the back along the side of my house. I noticed a gentleman with a black briefcase coming down the sidewalk. He walked over to me and said well you must have spring fever today, I see you are hard at work here. He then mentioned that he had spring fever today and was out making the rounds. Pretty soon he mentioned that he would like to read and show me some information in his books. I am thinking no way, not today, so I respectfully replied, well if you can stop that pile of mortar from going hard, I will look at your books until dark. He assured me that he was not able to do that so he would be on his way.
A few years later when construction work was slow I temporarily joined the electrical staff at a local factory. The gang consisted of the foreman, the sub-foreman, about 12 electricians, and me -- the new guy. Coincidentally the sub-foreman was the man with the black brief case that I had previously met one spring day when I had a trowel in my hand.
