A lot of stand-alone vendors also sell through Amazon and ebay. I suspect I could have bought this fan from N.T. via Amazon and then I would have been allowed to leave a critical review. Oh well, I finally got the thing and I'm sure it will blow hot air out of the building like it's supposed to.
