Willy, there's no right answer.
There's so many different combinations of how to spray it, what order to spray it & what products to use.
Hi build primers are just spray on polyester filler...use it if you need it but the best paint jobs don't use it at all.
On a Power Wagon, it's really not necessary unless there's just a ton of bodywork to do & even then, I'd never use it on the interior, firewall or undercarriage.
The most important thing to remember about paint is that you want the coating thin. You don't want a heavy coating of paint & so if I were ever going to use a high build epoxy, I'd only ever use it on large flat exterior panels. The roof, the outside of the doors & maybe the back of the cab. The firewall & interior...you pretty much want to spray wet on wet with no sanding & a very thin coat of good quality epoxy.
That how I do it. Anywhere you spray it, plan on sanding 70% of it back off & then sealing it with a sealer.
