Monday we had a 2008 Chevy Cobalt that the customer bottomed out and cracked the engine oil pan. So i called GM and they did not stock a pan. My after market supplier had a Dorman replacement pan in stock. OK we installed it. Had trouble fitting the oil dip stick tube in the pan but the rest of the job went OK After we finished the job we road tested the car and parked it. I always double check to make sure its A OK and there it was a oil spot on the ground. Darn trouble. So back on the Lift and in the air she went. The lousy Chinese replacement pan was leaking right threw the pan itself. Not Happy. Waited a extra day and got a GM one. It was made in Brazil but did not leak. Today's aftermarket parts really not up to par. But you cant get away from them. Its all over seas. Wish the parts would say made in USA. Have fun and good luck. Bill.
