I have a 318 with everything 12 volt (alternator, starter, head and tail lights, ignition) except signal stat turn lever . What seems to be confusing my mechanic is too many circuits (21) for this fairly simple truck. For example, the ignition switch has 3 contact points but the Painless kit has 7. So what goes where? And back to the 6 volt signal stat turn lever, it's flasher(terminology ?) can be replaced possibly with a 12 volt but the Painless fuse box already has a 12 volt "flasher". So do you cut out the 6 volt flasher and wire to the one in the fuse box? There's also confusion as to where the brake light switch should be wired. Not sure I've explained this very well as I was a business major.
