Yes, half of the "modifications" on my truck were really just hacks to keep it working. That's not character.
Would it be cool to see it restored as the wrecker it was? Absolutely, but I offered to trade it to one of those people who screamed at not restoring it because of how rare and precious it was and none of them wanted to do more than complain. It's easy to be a purist when you don't have to foot the bill.
