Yes, and no. I love the old iron be it a PowerWagon, or a Fiat, or whatever. But, hardly any of us get something that is ready to roll. Here is an example; I recently bought a 1951 Nash Ambassador. Now, from the contact I have had with the online Nash community, if I don't restore this down to each bolt it is sacrilege. BUT the engine is rusted solid, interior gone, hardly any paint on the whole thing (all rust) etc etc etc. I do not plan on rebuilding it to stock, I am going the hotrod route. Am I destroying this piece of history? Or, am I preserving it by saving it from the crusher? To me, as long as you are not taking apart a fine car, go for it. :)
