Greg: I don't know if I did it right, but I took my sending unit out, put the unit in boiling water (212 degrees) and hooked it up to the gauge and had the voltage at 13.8 (running voltage) . Then I added resistors inline to the sending unit until I registered about 2/3 scale when at 212 degrees. Now at 180 degrees it is always between "E" and "A" in HEAT.
