From your image, and the heaters I have owned, I believe the following to be true:

1) Red Circles - Model 61 mounting studs
2) Red X's - Model 61 coolant lines
3) Blue Circles - Overflow tank mounting well nuts
4) Green Circle - Hand throttle rod or cable
5) Yellow Circle - Wiper vacuum line
6) Black X's - Unknown - probably previous owner attempts at mounting something
7) Unmarked - Existing boss on most if not all firewalls. Looks like a previous owner drilled it out.
8) Yellow X's - Possibly for a Model 36 heater or one of the few Model 36 clones that typically show up in Power Wagons. Holes looks almost too small for a Model 36.

A model 61 heater would technically be correct for your truck. If mounted in the existing holes, it would be tight against the bottom of the glove box. I believe your truck probably came with a model 61 dealer installed. It appears that at one time, someone took out a model 61 and installed another heater in its place - possibly a Model 36.

Anything is possible though. A dealer could have had an unsold Model 36 still remaining on the shelf in '54.
