I just shipped a 200 lb truck transmission across the country for $125 via Fastenal. All I had to do was strap it to a pallet. I bet a tiny aluminum engine wouldn't be much more. Another option if you find a great deal far away.

PS. My work car is a $225 1992 Honda Civic that gets 40 mpg. Only 272000 miles!
