Pampered Power Wagon

I bought this Power Wagon in 2012 on the way back to Oregon from North Dakota. My uncle lives in Spokane and I stopped there to visit and he had been eyeing this truck for a few days up in Hunters Washington. A very small town in North East Washington. He decided to let me go for it since he had so many PWs already. What a find. I met the owner and she was moving to Palo Alto California - selling her dad's ranch as he had passed. Including his favorite truck. She had been driving it for about 2 years to work - about 15 minutes per day. The odometer read 70,000+ miles and she assured me it was 170,000..not more. Her dad was a wheat farmer and used the truck to move tools around the farm , get feed...town runs...etc. He kept a camper top on it at all times....she pulled it off and so the bed was covered almost its entire life. You can tell....I've never seen a sweptline bed so nice and clean and straight. I drove it home to southern oregon and it purred like a kitten the entire trip. s Since then I've been detailing it - starting it and driving it a bit at a time every day. Her dad at some point decided to make some minor changes to stock...but nothing major. He added a performer intake - edelbrock carb - and custom dual exhaust. Other than that the truck is bone stock. (Well a cassette radio has replace the original radio.)

So front to back.

Body.
1. Nice clean grill with only a few tiny blemishes.
2. Some sand pitting on the upper bumper valance.
3. Emblems all intact - as well as trim.
4. Cab is clean straight and virtually rust free (It was kept in an actual barn). Note: The Palouse is basically high desert - so rust and salt are non-issues.
5. Rockers and doors are nice - nicer than I've ever seen on a truck this old. Surface rust on door bottoms. Drain holes on doors are clean and flowing.
6. Appears to have never had original mirrors - that is the mirrors on the truck appear to had been installed BY the dealer and the screws for normal mirrors are there...but were never holding mirrors. Probably because its a camper special.
7. Rims are 16.5 and appear to be original. The front tires "look" good....but she said they were 20+ years old. I would not trust them. The back tires are old and cracked but not leaking. Note: I considered removing the rims/tires and adding conventional 16's but then thought the buyer may be a purest and would want these rims. Hard to find 16.5.
8. Floor boards look wonderful and although I have the mat in with new jute - I could pull it out for pictures. The floor mat is original and has 1 small hole. He pampered this truck.
9 Seat is original and has a tear in the driver's side...which will likely grow. but the foundation is good. Ceiling woven material is still there but needs to be removed and replaced...its fragile and crumbly. Visors are good - no cracks. Dash is nice - no cracks. Glove box - nice. Choke as been moved from original location leaving a "space" under light switch. see pics.
10. Glass is all good. Could use new rubber squeegee's along rails...but I don't know how to find them. Wing window rubber good - wing windows - good.
11. Paint I believe was top coated at some point - nothing spectacular...original white. There is a drip on the passenger side bed. Some sand pitting on tail gate (weird)
12. Has original water reservoir for whipper's but its old and hard.

Drive line
1. 318 runs flawless and starts super easy. Has pertronix ignition upgrade to original distributor. Excellent compression. not a single leak...period.
2. Original owner changed the oil alot!! I know this because we wanted to see under the valve covers to get a glimpse at the true condition. I was shocked to find ZERO carbon under the covers....it looked like it was brand new. Amazing.
3. New ignition wires were fitted - in the original wire guides on the valve covers...with plastic still intact.
4. All new brakes - (even though it really didn't need it) were installed - including new cylinders...front and rear. The emergency cable was not used much so we removed it and lubed it to death - got it moving and reinstalled it (big job) the emergency brakes work perfect.
5. Topped off all fluids in tranny - transfer case and front and rear difs. 4.10 Danas - 44 front 60 rear. closed knuckle stock.
6. Radiator is perfect. Heater works perfect. Light (including side markers) all work as they should. Dash lights and dome too. Locks and ignition perfect with original key (1 key) that works on both.
7. Saddle tanks are dealer installed ( I imagine) "GEM" tanks. Appear good - with switching valve by driver's seat. I've never filled them. but all rubber hoses are there.

I could keep writing but I think you get the picture. This truck was pampered. I can send more pictures as you may want - and I have 30+ pictures on photobucket. If you want "up close" detail pictures of something just ask...its not a problem. This truck was going to be my "forever" truck. I'm not "excited" to sell it - but its more important to me to help my family with some bills that are stressing them out....I don't "need" this truck....I never did...I just "wanted" it. Its time to let her go.

I can be reached by email at floodbuilt@gmail.com.

If you are serious - have the funds and means to get it home...feel free to ask me for my phone and we can talk - get you more pictures and arrange to see it/ buy it. Time is a precious thing to me so...so I'm not thrilled to show it to a gazillion people just to ogle. Just yesterday I had 2 people ask me if I would sell it while I was at Lowes....but when I told them the price they said it was out of reach for them. Everyone wants this truck but want it for a song....the way I see it - I've seen trucks 3 yrs old that are in worse condition than this truck....that is a testament to how well it was built and taken care of. This is a truck you buy - and keep.

Price is $7,250.
