If it was me I would eliminate the governor 100% if I could. All my 57 I finally dismantled/took the butterfly how of my governor in fixed all my motor problems at once. I tinkered with getting to run better for five years, and never had any luck on getting the hesitations out of the motor. My whole governor fell apart. I put a brand-new one in and had all the same exact problems. A month later I dismantled butterfly and motor ran like it should. It's not likely you're going to over rev your own motor. Ed
