The defroster vent area is different in the 1959 cabs compared to a 1960 cab so if you want to make the truck exactly right you should track down the proper cab. Otherwise they are basically the same and a 1959 cab will fit on your truck just fine. It all depends on how careful you want to be on the details.

Given that you live in NE where rust isn't as big of a problem I'd watch Craig's List for a whole 1960 D100 to D900 (D400 and larger trucks often have nicer cabs as they sit further off the ground) as you'll get a lot of other good parts that you might need.

The best thing about restoring a Power Giant PW is that all the body parts can be had from a 2wd and there are lots more 2wds out there.

I know guys that bought two 2wds to restore one 4wd as it was cheaper to buy whole trucks than to buy just the sheet metal they needed. If you've got a trailer and your not in a hurry I bet you can find a good donor within a few hours of you. I'd look for a more common 1961-80 truck with a step side bed to get the rear fenders. If your bed is rough then search for a truck with the same bed length. If you have the 7 1/2 foot bed that was used 1957 to 1965 1/2. If it is a 1960s D100 with the longer bed or a D200 truck with 4 headlights it is a 7 1/2 foot bed. The 2 headlight trucks have 8 foot beds.
