I gave it to a guy here that works on nothing but old cars, he is incredibly talented, and prices are great.

Started off with him getting it running with what was there, that took him a couple hours. Then had him sort out the brakes. Once it could start and stop, it was back to rebuild carb, new points, plugs, wires, fluids and such. The goal was to make it reliable starting.

Then on to changing all axle and trans fluids and sorting out the electrical so all lights and signals work.

It was kind of an exploratory thing to see if certain levels could be reached without a major overhaul on anything, and as luck would have it, it achieved streetability level!

The biggest task was the soup that was in the fuel system. He said that whatever was in the gas tank smelled foul, and wouldn't even burn LOL....He purged the fuel lines, cleaned the tank and coated the inside as well as installing a new pump and filter.

The drums were sandblasted and painted with POR15 (not on friction surface). It started and ran very smooth when I saw it today. I'll have about $2K US into getting it roadworthy, and I'm very happy with that.

I'm picking up a swivel frame that Dan M. has done for me tomorrow, and there is a chance that I'm going to do a frame swap on this truck to make it loads more fun.

Last fall I bought 7.5 acres right next to the Pembina Valley up here that is a treasure trove of trails and back roads. This truck is going to be out there full time for me to drive around on weekends, I'm excited to have two running trucks now.
