The other big advantage of relays is that you can reduce the amount of potential current loss between the source and the item.

If you have a stock truck you could easily mount them up near the battery on the inside of the splash shield. Disconnect the wires from the original light circuit to feed the relays and run new wires from the relay to the headlight terminal block. Your switch will live longer as it's only feeding the relay, and the lights get a shorter stronger feed which can often make them brighter.

They make some nifty stuff, may want to look for the relays that have a fuse holder built into them. Kills two birds with one stone.
