Willy 5" is probably too much. What you need to do is to measure from the base of the saddle on one u joint to the base of the saddle on the other u joint. This will give the needed length for the driveline. Take that measurement along with the driveline to the shop. Tell them exactly how you measured the distance and where the drive shaft goes on the truck. They will cut it to the correct length from that info.
