You could use a couple of the larger "Champ" sized quick change center sections, with 35 spline axles and Detroit Lockers, then use the mid/late 50's Timken axle tubes, shafts, brakes and hubs from a pair of 1 ton trucks. If the back one were to have an in-out box as part of the housing, then you would have shift on the fly cabability in 6x6. Make the middle unit a 2 speed, and you could have overdrive when needed
