Looking for a Trans cover shifter pin

Hey folks,
Putting my 4 speed trans cover back on and noticed I lost the small pin that goes into the top of the housing and goes into the groove of the shifter handle. This pin keeps the shift handle from spinning 360 degrees etc... Vpw doesn't have any, and they suggested using a hardened pin but I'm not sure if the pin is a press fit through the housing which mighy keep it in place. I don't remember it being a press fit.
Does anyone have a spare one laying around they would sell me or have a better idea on how to proceed.

Press fit = tap it in. Use butt end of drill bit, then grind off - Chris Case 20:55:22 05/14/2015
