Normal vacuum runs between 17 - 22 inches depending on the altitude and engine at idle with the engine at operating temp. For every 1,000 feet above sea level, it will be reduced about an inch. You can expect yours to be around 4.5 inches less than normal. Depending on the year of the engine, if it has a high lift cam and more valve overlap, your apt to have a lower and more erratic intake-vacuum reading. You're fine :=)
