Just came in from the garage, checking my 47 Ford 1/2 ton, compared to the 47 WDX. The Ford also has the rotating door covering the key area. (I assume both are original equipment) But as you might expect the one on the WDX is at leased twice the thickness as the one on the Ford. Sort of like comparing a pressed metal frying pan to a cast iron one.
