True though you also have the benefit of experience too, but sometimes a little trouble shooting is money saved.
Shop wanted to charge me some stupid amount of money to change a backup light during an inspection. Said no and took it home, long story short the backup switch wires were damaged, bulbs were fine. Would have cost me a lot of money for them to throw parts at it till they found something.
