Twice I had the "making's" of a dually set up. About five years ago I acquired two dually wheels and was going to use them along with two regular wheels and spacers. Before I was able, they were stolen from where I was storing them. Later I came across a system using four dually wheels along with what appeared to be factory adapters about one inch thick that bolted to the axle flange using regular lug nuts and provided the necessary brake drum clearance for the inner wheel without having to machine the drum. Items were shipped in four boxes. One box, containing one wheel and one of the two adapters, was lost by UPS. Again, I didn't have all that I need. My options now are to go with two dually wheels and spacers, or have a matching adapter made up(expensive) and find/fabricate a dually wheel. As rare as these wheels are, it's amazing that I have been able to locate six of them.
