about 200 miles in one day in a stock WC52 with arctic cab hot cam and shaved head. 40 of the miles were off road crossing the Nachese Pass. Its a 19th century wagon trail and lots of it was quite challenging. the road down on the east side of the mountains goes in a straight line down through the trees for miles. standing is tricky when the ground is wet to give an idea of steepness. and in the middle of that are spots so steep everyone had to be winched up. I was in the lead and would get up the tough parts then have to chain to a tree and drag everyone else up running winch cable under the truck utilizing the stock fairlead. We did the whole trip there and back in one 20 hour day. cooked lunch up in the meadows up at the highest part of the pass. very beautiful up there. I read somewhere is was the location of the last indian v indian battles in the US. 2 of the guys said they would never go 4 wheeling again after that day... ;/) they had auto trannies in there blazers and on the really steep situations they failed to move the truck.
