My rear shaft is the right length and is in good shape other than needing a new seal on the splines. But as the photo shows I need the larger 5380 U-joint to run it from the e-brake drum output to drive the centered differential.

Even if the shop cut the correct yoke off the original intermediate shaft and installed it on the rear shaft, they would still need the conversion U-joint in order to mount the assembly in their balancing machine.

The shop said they can get the right fixture but at a couple hundred $$$ it's not going to be worth it for my couple of driveshafts.

Even the conversion U-joints were a little tricky for them to get, ended up being cheaper and faster for me to order them.
