My dad, mom, sister and myself drove a 1945 wc64 from San Diego Ca. to Hurley Wi, in the summer of 1953, about 2200 miles on today's interstates. I was a year old and my sister 3. My uncle still has the truck but it hasn't ran in years. My Dad actually bought the truck for $600.00 in Hawaii where he was stationed in the navy and his captain let him bring it back to state side on their ship. If you add the miles from Honolulu to San Diego, approx 2600 miles. Sure wish I had a memory of that trip.John
