1/2 ton WC Leaf spring center bolts

I ordered a rear leaf spring kit consisting of bushings, pins, center bolts. The center bolts are 3/8", I have 3 visible sets of springs here and all have 5/16" center bolts and the axle indent will not accept the 3/8" nor will the springs.
I talked with the company I ordered them from and they said 3/8" was the only size used, That they had no smaller ones and nobody else ever asked. Who is correct here?
