Tractor in question is 1961 Case 930 Comfort King Wheatland (weighs @9000lbs). Has a 401 cubic inch non-turbo inline six diesel (Cummins J series) rated @ 75-80hp.... Six speed transmission with hand clutch. We use it to plow a deer lease with 10ft offset disc. It pulls good and I've even pulled the plow some in 5th, but normally am regulated to 4th. This is a low rpm (2000 rpm redline) "lugging" motor that uses a tad over 4 gallons/hr, which is quite efficient for its age. Runs best at about 3/4 throttle, any more & the temp will climb Fuel is pump or road diesel.... It doesn't seem to have the "umph" it did a few yrs ago (it sat dormant 2011 til last month). Any suggestions on waking the ol girl up? Other than fluids & filters, we haven't attempted to do any kind of tuning. It barely smokes just a tad when engine is cold (white/grey) or maybe black when straining. Doesn't burn/leak/use oil or coolant. Would love to be able find some sort of jug of magic potion to toss in the tank. Any suggestions? Thanks, Bucky
