A friend made a boring bar. A shaft goes where the crank goes and is held in place buy the main caps. There is a right angle hole drilled in this safe.
A bar goes into the hole and is centred in the bore.
There are two bearings and a frame that sits on the engine deck.
A fly cutter, ceramic bit and a big old 1/2 inch drill supplies the power.
A crank style trailer jack is used to feed the fly cutter down the hole.
I check one hole that was 1/2 bored. It was perfect from side to side in relation to the hole.
I loved the whole thing, a mess that worked like a charm.
