I recently purchased a 1956 Flat Fender Power Wagon after several years of off and on searching. Finally found a solid truck that I was able to bring home. I am trying to do some research on it to determine model specifics/transmission/etc -- it happens to fall into the model year range where modifications/changes were made. The ID Tag just lists the Model as PW-126 with no "C" designation. The S/N is 83949815 which would put it into the C-4 range based on this website's tables. Is there anything specific I should look for that may help short of opening up the transmission to look for the synchros? The truck is not quite road worthy at this point and I have not driven it extensively to get a feel for the gears.
I will try to post a picture of the truck, It is far from perfect but I think it has character (as they all do).
