A few of us have been looking for quite a few years (off and on), to find a quality wiper that will handle rain, snow, freezing rain, slush etc, as current truck wipers do. The search is elusive. Finding a wiper motor to meet the above requirements and yet fit in the valance has not yet been found.

As I posted, probably 5 or more years ago, I talked at length with a Trico Wiper Engineer. Trico did not have anything to meet the above requirements and Fit in the valance. The engineer was very candid. He stated in his opinion no totally contained wiper motor/gear train can have the power needed for the above requirements. He stated that a large motor driving into a gear box is needed for power.

I guess, if one wanted to start spending money and buying different motors, eventually a good one that will fit could be found. The Ford Transit delivery trucks have a small but powerful wiper/motor in the rear door windows. It look promising, but its expensive.

Maybe some day, one of us will run across a motor that will fit and also meet the above requirements ???

Quite a few years ago, I was able to get some samples on loan from different makers. None would fit and or meet our needs. There is a ton of information on failed attempts to find a good wiper motor in the forum archives.

I agree, the Mighty Mite wipers allow my FFPW to pass NY State Inspection.....nothing more
