I used this type on my Tenders for the big cables. The sleeve on the outside will protect it going under the cab to the back. I bought some pre/made 4 ft long #4 cables for the alternator with proper ends to hook to the Shunted 100 Amp Gauge on the dash and the Pos. stud on the alt. & back to the Starter Stud where the 1/0 Battery Cable hooks to. The original gauge will monitor the amps the truck uses but not the big alternator.
