Mine didn't fight too bad, but then again I was expecting them too and brought some big guns right off the bat.

Charles Talbert has a set of machined adapters he sells that go into the housing and take a modern double lip oil seal with the right ID. They have threaded holes in them for a puller should you ever need to pull them again.

Like most of his stuff, not cheap but very nice.
