Yep I agree with you.

My truck had the V8 and a SM420 tranny in it when I bought it. The guy apparently knew what he was doing in terms of setting up the geometry for the V8. It is a very simple and inexpensive installation. All I really did was go to the NP200 transfer case and put 4.89s in it. Obviously I rebuilt everything.

The engine is mounted with a simple 1 piece saddle mount that bolts to the front of the block and and then to tabs welded on the frame. The rear mount is a modified Chevy truck cradle mount that attaches to the bell housing and then to the original rear Dodge engine frame mounting points. So I have 4 mounting points to the frame and to the engine. He put hanging peddles in.

It would be nice to have an overdrive but I am not sure I want to tear into it. Besides it is driven mostly around town. I usually trailer it on longer trips (200 miles or more).
