andfuel efficiency. in my D300 I used to have with 4.88 gears, 19.5 rims, slant 6 I got 17 mpg at 55 and 14.8 at 65. my 318 poly trucks (all D300s) got at the very best 14 on the highway, ususally 10 to 12. that fuel savings ads up with daily use.
