Drive line angle ????'s

I'm working on my 58 W-100 and someone before me had changed out the rear axle. The newer one has everything correct except the spring perches, they were to wide and not of the correct angle so, they cut the perches and mangled the U bolts. After that they drove with the wrong angles and ruined the u joints and shook the springs apart.
I bought new 1 3/4 inch perches and U bolts and I have my springs all repaired and looking good. I only need to have some of your advice. Kinda like step by step instructions, so I can see if there's anything that I'm not thinking of while in the process of replacing these perches and re-setting the drive line angles.
