Put a 300 gallon tank in the back of a PW and got a pump and spare booster reel from the VFD station where I work. Unfortunatly the pump runs on JP-4 but I think kerosene will work. It should be good for use around our house, I'm going to show my my wife how to use it. I also did some checks and filled the tank on the rig I'm team leader on, a M-35 with 2000 gal tank that we built from DNR surplus stuff. One crew alerady got sent to Brewester and another may go... Smoke around here is getting thicker, I cant see across to the other side of the valley from my house which is about 5 miles away.
Went to the ranger station to see what was going on... Two of there engines are in the shop so DNR and Voulenteers are going to be going to federal forests also.
There are 47 wildland fires burning in WA state right now.
Still would not want to live anywhere else though, except maby North Idaho, or Whitefish MT.
