MV history question...

I have a WWII Cargo Truck (F@#d GTB) that I got out in Couer D' Alene, Idaho. It's OD green but has the U.S.N. markings. It stands to reason it came from Farragut Naval Station, But how can I find out for sure? Is there a place I can use the hood #'s or serial #'s to get thr military history on the vehicle? Thanks.
