The 4B/BT/BTA is the "older" four cylinder 3.9L Cummins. The 4BT is a turbocharcharged unit found in things like Chevy (and other) bread vans and construction equipment (Komatsu uses them), mine from 1990 is rated at 105hp. The 4BTA is the aftercooled version of the 4BT and is rated 125hp at 2500rpm. The current production is the B3.9-xx where the xx is the horsepower rating. The 4BTA for instance is now the 43.9-130.

These are available from several dealers as bread van cut outs and from several equipment dealers (construction blocks) as well as from Cummins dealers and distributors.

There is also the realy new electonic version which is the ISB3.9xx, but I'm not sure if they are actually available for individual sale yet.

The 6B/BT/BT is the 5.9 liter six cylinder version of the same basic block. Apply the same nomenclature and history for six as for the four... The current, electronic version is the ISB5.9-xx.

The ZF S6-650 is the six speed transmission being put into the Ford pickups and, starting with this year's production, into the Chevy pickups behind the Duromax diesel.

The NV4600 is the six speed found in the Dodge pickups.
