I bought it for a 57 i have with a plow frame on it .I think i will leave it as is because i have a 48 with a winch that im restoring the gentleman i purchased it from said it was agood winch. it does turn nice and is not all rusty it has no cable. he said i would need mounting brackets. it has stamped in # M3-10-R 5808633 . i was told on this forum that it was a latter mu2 ( i myself dont know ). I think it is a good winch . I would like to sell it for $500 I paid 450 an did a little traveling to get it. it would take some time to get pictures together but im willing to do so if any one has interest. if ther is any other questions e mail me I only get on line about once a week so dont be surprised if it takes a while for a responce I did purchase this winch from a guy that deals in pws an parts to military veicles
