If cost is equivalent (both capital & expenses)& you have a good heavy duty tow vehicle... the triaxle sounds like the better deal. The 10-12k GVW 18' tandem axle flatbeds are available NEW for around $1,500 and only cost around $60 annually to register. Does the triaxle compare to this cost? I use a 3/4T Suburban with a 350 gas engine and 3.73s as a tow vehicle for short trips (usually under 500 flat miles). I would think that a big block and different gearing would be needed for the heavier trailer, longer trips, or mountain terrain! Drop an email to the guys posting earlier... they appeared on top of it.Thanks!
