Buy the 2500 HD or 3500 Cummins Dodge?

I need some input on which truck to buy. I will be using the truck primarily to pull a gooseneck trailer with either my 48 B1 PW or engines and other parts to and from swap meets and car shows.I will at some point down the road remove the pickup bed and use it exclusively on my farm for pulling hay and cattle trailers.There seems to be very little difference in the initial cost and not a great deal of difference in towing capacity.Any input on such things as towing stablity,additional cost differences on maintenance and wear items etc. is appreciated. I will be ordering the truck with the H.O. engine and 6 speed with 3.54 gears and H.D transfer case. Additionally does anyone know what the snow plow prep group consists of? My local dealer cant give me a satifactory answer concerning the differences in the front springs.
