Instead of calling the cops, the least someone could have done was stop and ask if your friend needed to use a phone or a ride into town. Like one of the lower posts mentioned, to many people are influenced be the media, so they go around thinking that there are kooks and weirdos every where and when they see something strange, instead of stopping to find out what really is happening, they just imagine the worst and call the cops. Just my two cents worth. Robert
