If it truly were ex-army, then it would fit the pattern of using 3/4 ton Dodges, but would the army, in the midst of the Viet Nam conflict use a town wagon for an ambulance---couldn't be done. With all the glass taking up precious wall space, and the limited height, it would be a medics nightmare. I believe at this time, 1966, the military ambulance still in service was our beloved Dodge M-43, to be replaced in 1967 by the "less than legendary" Kaiser M-725, built on the M-715 frame. Production for that underpowered thing ran only from 1967 to 1969. Its quite likely Mr. MOOSEALDER selling this town wagon doesn't know what it really was or is. Has anybody information about this 20,000 lb winch? The lack of information presented is highly suspect. If I wanted to sell a truck, which I thought was great, I'd point out each positive feature that I could and, of course, sell it on the photo classified section of the Dodge Powerwagon Website.
