Man, it's so funny you posted this. This last winter here in sunny california, it snowed in the Santa Cruz mountains so bad it cut power for several days and even shut down Hwy 17 which runs from the beaches of Santa Cruz on the coast to Silicon Valley. The Cal Trans was in Boulder Creek trying to remove a large tree from the road. They had one lane unblocked but had trouble manipulating the trunk due to lack of proper equip. I offered to help, but my bumper was too high to meet the branch, and I haven't yet installed a cable on my PTO :-( Anywho, I envisioned 4 foot chain saw bars at either end of my bumper and driven by PTO. Large enough to cut the width of a PW through the tree and big enough to drive most cars through :-). Hmm, I guess a hydralic ram would be necessary to operate the bars to ground level. Must think about this more.... I'd love to setup the front of my w300 like a Kirby vacuum cleaner with multiple attachments ready for any job. BTW, anyone ever see www.mattracks.com?
