Be aware that some 'civilian' Power-Wagons were purchased by the military. They are bone stock factory models except for the olive drab paint (or USAF blue) and stars and data plates.

Thus, it is quite possible that some vets actually drove a PW in the military if they were in the service in the 1950's.

Additionally, some may be confusing the similar 1941 WC 1/2 ton Closed Cab Pickup with a postwar WDX, etc. WE know the difference, but THEY may have long forgotten the details. Many 1941's were used in stateside training camps during WWII.
